Susan Hay Studio will be open Dec. 1 and 2 between 10 am and 5 pm. as part of a Christmas Studio Tour organized by the Haliburton Tour de Forest Studio Tour group. I’m working on a series of smaller paintings especially for gift giving this Christmas. I can also provide gift certificates. My friend Susanne James will also have her pottery for sale. Refreshments will be served. Here are some of my winter paintings completed over the past year.
Susan gathered a group of textile artists together to work on a collaborative project for Fashion Fallies (a fashion show in Haliburton put on by the Haliburton Arts Council) which just happened on Nov. 9. Susan, Catherine Dennis, Chris Lynd, Louise Ewing, Vicky Sisson and Michelle Harris worked together for many months to create this crochet/textile shawl. We won the peoples’ choice award!
